Structures
We proudly stock RÖDER (UK) structures and carry widths from 1m all the way up to 20m. As such we can likely cover pretty much any space you can find. Each structure is fully rated for both wind and suspended loadings and all PVC comes with a fire resistance rating too. As such, we know what we can, but more importantly what we cannot do.
When it comes to Health & Safety we demand the best and we don’t do ‘grey’ areas. Accordingly we’re delighted to work with a supplier who employs complete and sustainable quality management strategies. The RÖDER group is certified in accordance with the European standards EN ISO 9001:2008 and EN ISO 14001:2009.
''How often do you replace your structures?''
The frames are all made from premium quality aluminium which we carry for a period of roughly 10 years or until it passes it’s best. We operate a stringent capex program which enables us to do this. In turn, we’re able to guarantee that you will only ever be presented with an immaculate structure, compliant with the latest regulations that is fully rated and correctly assembled.
Flooring
Given we’re (pretty much) the only medium / large scale marquee or temporary structure supplier to be based 100% inside the M25 we have a somewhat rare and intricate knowledge around how best to, SAFELY, install structures of all sizes in and around London.
In our opinion, the major factor in this regard is that of anchorage. By their very nature, marquees are highly susceptible to wind and believe us, they can and sometimes do blow away. As a result and as you’d expect, we take this risk extremely seriously and that’s where our unique Self-Weighted ‘Invisible’ Flooring System comes in.
''So how does it work?''
First we lay down the basic steel interlocking floor, which we then pack as required to give us a perfectly levelled base. Onto this we then lay the requisite number customised weights (as per the manufacturer’s recommendation) which ensures we have a structurally rated and insurable foundation. This all sits within it’s own footprint, thus removing any need for external ballast (e.g. water tanks / concrete blocks).
Tents built in this way, on this floor, are rated to withstand winds up to 50mph, giving our customers piece of mind when the clouds gather.
Walling
For a superior finish to your marquee we can provide the option of changing your marquee from a standard PVC walled structure to a hard walled marquee. Hard sided marquees are available in glass, white acrylic or can even be custom branded to your own specification. The glass walling is particularly popular with clients often choosing to go for an affordable, single run of glass along the the front of a marquee with the remainder clad in white PVC.
Hard walling is effective in creating a completely polished effect to your structure – visually they are more impressive and there is the added bonus of improved security.
''It needs to be immaculate, will it?''
We carry a huge range of glass and acrylic walling which we are constantly upgrading and replacing, so yes, it will look brilliant.
Whatever your needs when it comes to the exterior (or interior) finish, our hire managers are on hand to help. Just give us a call.
Linings
The joy of working with a high quality marquee provider such as Key Structures is that there is no need to have a lining unless you want one. We replace our PVC every 2-4 years, so it stays nice and white. That said, if you’re looking for anything beyond the most basic cover, we would advise you to have a lined structure.
At entry level, we have stock flat and pleated linings, available in a core range of colours to suit most themes. These can be paired with overlays and drapes to create a more relaxed feel as desired. Next we have the fitted disposable flat linings which is a half way house between standard and deluxe. These, like our standard linings are hung on a wire and then stretched tight to the floor to give a brilliant taught / crisp finish.
In pole position, we have the Tack Off linings. The ‘crème de la crème’. With Tack-Off, you can have any colour you like, we can even print photos, logos, text onto it. It really is the ‘bee’s knees’ when it comes to marquee linings (with a price tag to match £’£££’s).
''Can we just get you to supply the structure and we dress it ourselves?''
Of course you can. We support a handful of the UK’s leading event organisers in just this way whereby we build an immaculate, secure and structurally rated venue, which they then spend days (& days) dressing to impress.
Orangery Structures
Our Orangery Marquees combine the clean architectural lines of a traditional glasshouse with the flexibility and efficiency of a temporary structure. Built using true glass hard walling rather than plastic panels, they create a bright, premium environment with excellent thermal and acoustic performance. Because we work from an extensive hire stock, these structures offer all the visual impact of a permanent orangery without the associated cost, making them a practical solution for both short-term and repeat-use projects.
Every installation is configured to your exact footprint and delivered on our self-weighted flooring system for a level, stable and crisp finish with no ground fixings required. Designed to be installed and removed within 24 hours, our Orangery Marquees provide a refined, high-quality event space that feels permanent yet fits seamlessly into tight programmes and challenging locations.
Featuring full-height glazed hard sides, precision aluminium framing and optional insulated or clear roof systems, our Orangery Marquees offer the appearance of a permanent glasshouse while retaining complete modular flexibility. Each structure can be adapted to any size or shape, from compact courtyards to expansive multi-bay event layouts, ensuring a perfect fit for almost any site.
