Key Structures in a larger map
Fulham has had an extremely varied history. Originally made up of gardens and farms that supplied London’s markets Fulham was gradually developed into what we know it as today. The extension of the district line to Putney Bridge in 1878 encouraged this development phase. The new line opened on 1 March 1880 in time for the University Boat Race, an event that Key Structures has been proud to provide marquees for in recent years. Developed piecemeal over many years, Fulham became a borough full of differing houses and varied gardens.
Whether in the Peterborough Estate, with the terracotta lions of Jimmy Nichols, or a terraced house in Munster Village, courtesy of Messrs Gibbs and Flew, Key Structures has become adept at providing the perfect marquee for your event – you’ll be amazed what we can do in such unusual spaces. Even if your garden is a multi-level mixture of patio and grass we have a marquee to accommodate your needs. With marquee widths from 2m to 20m and our range of London Garden Marquees in varying sizes as well as fully customisable interiors, we’re able to cover almost any space and deck out your marquee to fit any theme.
Our most regular Fulham marquee location is Fulham Palace. Located in Bishop’s Park the Palace was home to the Bishop of London for twelve centuries and now houses a museum, an art gallery, a restaurant and café. It has become a sought-after venue for weddings, parties and corporate events as well as being a popular summer afternoon destination for local residents. Aside from the bespoke marquee we have supplied in the Chaplain’s Garden (ideal for a summer wedding) we have also provided marquees for the Fulham Palace Jazz Festival and private parties in the walled garden. Our most stunning installation to date was the 20m Clearspan structure we provided in the main courtyard. With clear roofs and mood lighting for the evening it proved a spectacular success and was certainly somewhat eye-catching.
Our previous work in Fulham
In 2010 Key Structures was proud to provide a marquee in the courtyard of Hammersmith Town Hall as a vote counting venue for the General Election. It was a tense night of verifying votes, counting and recounting but all those involved stayed warm and comfortable thanks to our properly heated marquee.
Often our marquees are used as insurance against the weather. This stylishly lined structure, adapted with vari-height legs to maximise the available space, ensured that guests at a birthday party stayed dry throughout a wet afternoon.
Finding the perfect wedding venue in central London is never easy. Fitted out with our self-weighted floor and luxury linings, this semi-permanent structure at Fulham Palace enables couples to have a flexible venue they need in the stunning surroundings they want.
