In November Key Structures teamed up with Lipfriend Rodd International, who we’ve had the pleasure working with on the Mercury Awards for 3 years now. The end client, CBI were holding their annual conference at the intercontinental London for the first time.
The brief was simple, create a temporary structure large enough to house 400 VIP’s, such as the prime minister. The structure was used for security purposes. Once through, guests would then walk through to the hotel, via our clear walkway.
Key Structures provided a 15m x 30m walkway structure with a levelled floor, fully hard sided and 4 sets of double glazed doors, taut interior linings and a 6m x 18m walkway structure with clear roofs
With help from Paul Haresign Marquee Heating and Ventilation, Block-aid and Lightning events.
Timings were tight, all equipment had to be onsite by 0600 and the hauliers off site by 0800. The structures were installed in a day, well ahead of schedule. The removal, 2 days later began at 1600, we had until midnight, but the team were off site by 2230.
We very much look forward to continuing our relationship with Lipfriend Rodd international in 2018.
